Sunset, Cocktails, and Dogs Welcome on the Rooftop

Whitewater Rooftop Social is a fully dog-friendly rooftop in downtown Canon City. Leashed dogs are welcome on our 2,000 sq ft open-air rooftop patio every day we are open, and we keep water bowls on the rooftop for the four-legged guests.

The Setup

We are the only purpose-built rooftop restaurant in the Royal Gorge region. The patio looks out over the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the historic Royal Gorge Route Railroad. Dogs ride the elevator up with their humans (the building is ADA accessible with elevator access to every level). Free street parking on Royal Gorge Blvd. No cover charge, no dress code.

What to Order While the Dog Naps

Hours start at 11 AM daily. A few easy go-to picks for a low-key rooftop hour with your pup at your feet:

- WWBG Gold Margarita: the same secret-recipe margarita that put our sister bar Whitewater Bar & Grill on the map.
- Elevated American comfort plates: paninis, sammies, salads, and shareables in the 15 to 17 dollar range.
- On Sundays: $8 mimosas and Bloody Marys all day (Sunday Funday).
- On Saturday evenings: live acoustic music with no cover. Bring an attentive pup who can handle a quiet guitar.

Practical Notes

- All dogs on a leash for the entire visit.
- Dogs stay on the rooftop patio. Not inside the indoor bar.
- Water bowls are provided. Bring kibble or treats if your dog is on a specific diet.
- We are open year-round except January through late February. The 2026 reopen date was February 26.
